This 2.4m x 2.4m bathroom was designed around the client's vision of creating a relaxing, spa-like retreat within the home while working to a budget of approximately £10,000. Careful planning of the compact footprint ensured every element contributed to a sense of openness and tranquillity, with a soft neutral colour palette and natural textures chosen to evoke the calm atmosphere of a luxury wellness space. The freestanding bath was positioned as the focal point of the room, creating an elegant statement while maintaining a practical and uncluttered layout.
To achieve the desired spa-inspired aesthetic, large-format stone-effect porcelain tiles were used throughout, complemented by a textured feature wall that adds depth and visual interest. The wall-hung WC and floating vanity unit help maximise the feeling of space, while the warm, backlit circular mirror introduces ambient lighting that enhances the relaxing atmosphere. Brushed metal fittings provide a subtle touch of luxury, ensuring a cohesive and contemporary finish throughout the room.
The brushed nickel shower further reinforces the client's brief, offering a modern and rejuvenating space with premium fixtures, sleek glass screening, and integrated feature lighting. Every design choice was carefully balanced to deliver a high-end appearance while remaining within the allocated budget. Despite the room's modest 2.4m x 2.4m dimensions, the completed bathroom feels spacious, sophisticated, and welcoming, successfully transforming the space into a calming sanctuary for everyday relaxation.
