This 2000mm x 2500mm loft conversion bathroom proves that a challenging roof space can be transformed into a bright and spacious retreat. The sloping ceiling presented a significant design constraint, requiring careful planning to position the shower enclosure beneath the lowest section of the roof while maintaining comfortable headroom throughout the room. Large-format stone-effect porcelain tiles and a generous rooflight help maximise the sense of space, creating a clean, contemporary finish that feels far larger than the room's compact footprint.
A key challenge of this bathroom was incorporating all the essential features within the confines of a converted loft. The angled ceiling dictated the layout, with the curved shower enclosure selected to make efficient use of the available space while allowing comfortable access. A floating vanity unit, illuminated mirror and recessed shower niche provide practical storage and functionality without overwhelming the room, delivering a sleek and modern bathroom that balances style with everyday usability.
Designed around the unique restrictions of a loft conversion, this bathroom showcases smart space planning at its best. The slanted ceiling required precise positioning of the wall-hung WC, vanity unit and heated towel radiator to ensure the room remained comfortable and visually balanced. Soft neutral porcelain tiles, subtle under-unit lighting and natural daylight from the roof window combine to create a luxurious atmosphere, demonstrating how even the most challenging roof spaces can be transformed into elegant, highly functional bathrooms.
The client’s vision for this loft bathroom was to create a simple, understated and timeless design. To achieve this, chrome brassware was paired with crisp white sanitaryware and furniture, providing a clean contrast against the soft neutral tones of the porcelain tiles. The reflective chrome finishes add a subtle touch of elegance without dominating the space, while the wall-hung vanity unit and WC enhance the room's light and contemporary feel. Together, these carefully chosen elements create a calm, uncluttered environment where the focus is on simplicity, practicality and lasting style.
